Executive Director of SavaNet-Ghana awarded an Eisenhower Fellowship
In recognition of his examplenary leadership in Agriculture development in Ghana,Moses Nganwani Tia the Executive Director of Savannah Young Farmers Network (SavaNet-Ghana) has been awarded the prestigious Eisenhower fellowship - EF (Global Program) for 2017 to represent Ghana.
In 1953, to celebrate President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s first birth day in the White House, a group of businessmen founded an International Leadership program in honour of his devotion to world peace.
Its purpose and design reflect his conviction that greater inderstanding among individuals foster greater understanding among nations, contributiing to the peace and progress of all countries and all people.
Since 1954, Eisenhower Fellowship (EF) has operated the Global program (formally called the Multi Nation program). Each spring EF brings 20-25 fellows from all over the world, representing a variety of professional fields to the United States (US) for a seven- week program.
More than 2,000 men and women have joined Eisenhower fellowships since its establishment in 1953. EF currently boast of a network of around 1,500 fellows from more than 100 countries including the United States (US).
His fellowship will take him to various Agriculture Development organizations and companies in several states in the USA. His professional fellowship interest is in the area of: commercial farming and other Agribusinesses that employ various precision Agriculture technologies, Natural Resource Conservation and Environmental Management as well as Food and Agriculture Deveopment policies/International Agriculture Development initiatives which has interest in Africa.
His project for implementation under this flagship fellowship is the “Agribusiness Innovation Hub (iHub). The board of directors, staff, network members and partners congratulate you on this achievement in your career.
He will join other fellows from: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, Colombia, Finland, Germany, India, Indonesia, Isreal, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Rwanda, Sri-Lanka, Sweden, Tanzania, Turkey and Vietnam.
